HYCC (Hawaiʻi Youth Conservation Corps)...Team D...we were chosen to work with Kupu Hawaii whose mission is to empower youth to serve their communities through character-building, service-learning, and environmental stewardship opportunities that encourage integrity (pono) with God, self and others.
Team Training was intense but everybody's doing real good. Ho, Elise you still bruising from Kualoa Ranch, because I am. Who knew ladders would be so hard? Congrats to all zip line conquers! Good luck to all HYCC members even those on the outer islands, we'll miss you! Peacock Flats here come...
"Pterodactyl!" haha waddup guys? Hope this weekend treated you all well and you guys got some rest. Get stoked! I am excited for this week's camping, and hope you guys are too. I think Thursday was overall a memorable day for everyone; we were able to get out of our comfort zones, do some crazy fun things, and accomplish things we thought we couldn't do (shout out to Elise and Robynne for finishing the Giant Ladder). But I also thought the evening discussion on monday night was really meaningful; it created a sense of solidarity among us as we talked about some pretty deep stuff, and helped us bond better. Lol don't mean to sound cheesy and what not, but it's true. Anyway, see you guys bright and early tomorrow!! Get some rest. BTW, I don't know how this 7am thing is gonna work for me :P
- RAHHHHHHHBERT (slaps hand and rolls down stomach) Hah! :P
